What are wall decals?
Wall decals are an inexpensive and innovative way to transform any room. Wall decals adhere to the wall and are created in the design and color of your choice. They are simple to install and take less time than painting. When it comes to decorating walls, I always make sure to use quality removable wall decal vinyl. All of our decals have adhesives that don't bond to the wall or contain any growing agents, which means you can easily remove them without damaging the wall. However, I've learned that not all stickers and decals are created equal. Some are meant to be permanent and create a strong bond with the wall that only gets stronger over time due to growing agents. Here at Two Little Giggles, we pride ourselves in the best materials for removable wall decals that won't mark or damage painted walls.
Can you make a decal that we can design?
Yes absolutely. Send through an image of what you would like and we will do our best to make it up for you
How long will they last on my wall?
Our decals are made with high-quality vinyl, these are designed to last 3 years on your wall. I will also add that we have had 3 on our walls for the past 5 years and they look as good as they did the day we put them up.
What are these made with?
All my word quotes are made with high-end wall vinyl designed for walls. These are all made with a matte finish and not a shiny gloss finish.
All my nursery decals are peel-and-stick decals and are made with PVC vinyl that is user-friendly and safe to use on your walls.
Will the wall decals damage my wall?
When walls have been prepared as recommended and properly maintained after application of the wall decals, most people have no wall damage when wall decals are removed. Please be aware that, as with decorative medium, there is potential for wall damage.
Can I apply a wall decal to a newly painted wall?
Freshly painted walls should be allowed to cure for at least eight weeks before you apply your wall decals.
Can I get them off once I stick them up?
Yes. Just peel off. If there is any paper residue, moisten well with water. Once the paper is thoroughly wet, peel off.
If the adhesive is not coming away from the wall you can also use a hair dryer to heat up the decal and then remove it.
Can I put them in a moist bathroom?
Yes. Wall decals are vinyl-coated so they can be washed and they can withstand the moisture in a bathroom. Just don’t put them right in the shower. Direct water flow will cause them to strip off.
Can I apply decals to any paint surface?
If a room has been painted with Teflon, Silicone, or Wash & Wear paint you may have trouble keeping your stickers up on the wall. These types of paints are designed to be cleaned easily and to repel anything from sticking to them.
Can I wash the wall decal once it has been applied?
Yes. We recommend that you use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with cool water to clean your wall decal. Avoid using cleaners that contain alcohol, abrasives, citrus additives, or ammonia.
Also:
Please read the instructions on my business page about how to apply decals to the wall so they do not peel off.
All decals purchased must be laid flat for a minimum of 2 days before being applied to the wall. Please make sure you have pressed these firmly onto the wall to avoid air bubbles.
If you prefer to pay a bank deposit - you can message me for account details.
All word quote decals come with a transfer sheet included, however, this transfer sheet has not yet been applied to the decal. This will need to be done by you.
The transfer sheet packaged with your decal can be used several times over. If the transfer sheet does not cover the whole decal - that is because it is reusable.
If you are unfamiliar with Decals and have not applied one to your walls - I am happy for you to message me via Facebook so I can run you through the process.
How do I remove my decal?
Vinyl wall decals are easy to remove! Simply start at one corner and gently peel off the wall. In rare cases, some touch-ups may be required, depending on the age or condition of the painted surface underneath. If your application is intended to be temporary, like in a dorm room, apartment, or at an event such as a wedding, there should be no problem easily removing your wall art.
If you are concerned that these will not come off the wall easily or without causing damage, you can purchase a product from most hardware stores including Bunnings' called Un-Du which will ensure your decal is removed safely.
