How to Choose the Right Size Wall Decal for Your Space

One of the most common questions we get is: what size decal should I choose? The right size makes a decal look intentional and beautiful. Here is a simple way to work it out.
Step 1: measure your wall space
Measure the width and height of the space where the decal will go. Tape a piece of paper cut to the decal's size to the wall to see how it looks before you order.
Step 2: think about what is below it
If the decal will sit above a sofa, bed, sideboard or console, a good starting point is a decal about two thirds of the width of the furniture beneath it. That keeps the wall balanced and stops the decal looking lost.
Step 3: check the size on the product page
Every decal listing shows the approximate size. A few examples from our range:
- Small to medium quotes, around 55cm to 60cm wide, suit narrow walls, hallways and kitchen feature spots.
- Wide quotes, around 80cm wide, work well above a bed or a sideboard.
- Large statement decals go much bigger. For example, our gym motivation decal is about 1.6m x 1.5m and our Be Happy decal is 2m x 1.6m.
Size tips by room
- Bedroom: centre a wider quote above the bed. Browse our love wall decals.
